Three of the pre-tournament favorites and one outsider make the final four. No major surprises this year and I don't expect anything different in the semis.
Roger Federer vs. Lleyton Hewitt
Since blowing a two-set lead against Hewitt in a Davis Cup match in 2003, Federer has put beating after beating on the Aussie in seven straight matches, including last year in the quarterfinal here. Federer has said that he learned how to play Hewitt during that Davis Cup loss. He learned that he can wait for his opportunities because Hewitt does not have the firepower to hit winners against him. Federer is just as good on defense as Hewitt and much better on offense. In short, Hewitt's game does not match up well against Federer's. Then again, does anyone's?
Patrick McEnroe likes Roger Federer and Andy Roddick to advance to the Wimbledon men's singles final.
