WIMBLEDON, England -- Three of the top four seeds (Lindsay Davenport, Maria Sharapova and Amelie Mauresmo) have made it to the women's singles semifinals at Wimbledon. The No. 4 seed was Serena Williams, but her place on the draw sheet is occupied instead by her old sister Venus, seeded 14th. Here are my previews and picks for Thursday's matches:

Lindsay Davenport vs. Amelie Mauresmo

This is a perfect semifinal match for Davenport. She has beaten Mauresmo seven straight times. Although Mauresmo can hurt you with her all-court style, I don't think she has the big weapons from the back of the court that Davenport's previous two opponents, Kim Clijsters and Svetlana Kuznetsova, do. Mauresmo is better at net, but Lindsay likes a target, and she returns so well. So you can see why this is a matchup Davenport would smile at.
