Sitting at her home club -- Racquet Club of the South in Norcross, Ga. -- one month before her storybook run at this year's U.S. Open, 17-year-old Melanie Oudin was looking back at her first real success on the big stage. In June, she won three matches to qualify for Wimbledon. She then won three matches in the main draw at the All England Club, beating No. 29 Sybille Bammer and No. 6 Jelena Jankovic before losing to No. 11 Agnieszka Radwanska.
