Step right up, step right up -- the January transfer window circus has arrived.

Some of Europe's biggest names are rumored to be heading to the EPL in January, with teams desperate to make a push for the title, grab a European place or simply survive relegation. This window often can make or break a team; wheeling and dealing is essential to enhance a squad and bring a fresh impetus, but buying in January can be risky business that often leads to hugely inflated transfer fees.

Clubs recently have been held for ransom for prize targets as managers desperately scramble to snatch up anybody they can (i.e. Andy Carroll, Fernando Torres, etc). But there's plenty of value out there this January.

Here's a look at the top eight EPL transfer targets.

1. Radamel Falcao, Atletico Madrid (Spain)

This season has seen the sizzling Colombian striker elevate himself just behind the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in the pantheon of world soccer. And with Chelsea deliberating the $65 million release clause to obtain Falcao, the EPL could soon have a new star.
