For the Olympic team, things are about to start happening pretty fast. The group's fourth camp in as many months kicks off this week with a streamlined roster, and a chance for a serious dress rehearsal for the quickly approaching qualifying tournament.

Coach Caleb Porter named 23 players last week to train in Frisco, playing three friendlies along the way. The team takes on FC Dallas on Wednesday and NASL franchise San Antonio on Friday, before next week's FIFA date showdown with the Mexican U-23s at FC Dallas Park.

The back-to-back games this week followed by the clash with El Tri will simulate the format the U.S. will face when qualifying kicks off three weeks later in Nashville. So much time on the field will also give Porter's group the chance to gel a little bit, given that the players available this week will form the core of the group that will attempt to navigate those treacherous qualifying waters next month.

Let's take a closer look at this refined version of the Olympic team.
