Gale Agbossoumonde has work to do

For all they seem to have in common, it's tempting to compare American under-20 defender Gale Agbossoumonde to a young Oguchi Onyewu. Among other things, both Gooch and the young "Boss" have convenient one-syllable nicknames that can save spelling or pronunciation-challenged journalists a lot of work. And like Onyewu, he's not easy to push around.

"I can be strong and good in the air, physically imposing," Agbossoumonde said, quietly but convincingly, of his playing style.
