Clint Dempsey's 11th-hour, $9.5 million transfer from Fulham to Spurs stole the headlines, but the 29-year-old wasn't the only American who changed clubs on deadline day. In a flurry of late activity, national teamers Carlos Bocanegra, Maurice Edu and Oguchi Onyewu also landed with new teams before the window slammed shut Friday evening, capping a busy summer in which Michael Bradley went from Chievo to Roma and Geoff Cameron traded MLS for the English Premier League.
