Win wasn't pretty, but U.S. positioned well

By winning ugly, the U.S. is sitting pretty atop the regional World Cup qualifying standings. The 1-0 win against Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday helped the Americans gain ground on Honduras and Costa Rica (losers in Mexico and El Salvador, respectively) atop the crowded, six-team CONCACAF table. It also put Bob Bradley's squad just one win away from the main event next June in South Africa.
