Best bets for the Belmont Stakes

With the final leg of racing's Triple Crown at hand, the Derby and Preakness winners have reunited, along with 10 others, to offer one of the deepest fields the Belmont Stakes has had in a number of years.

One of the big questions going in was how the bettors would view Animal Kingdom and Shackleford. After the early wagering Friday, the two horses were on opposite ends of the betting spectrum.

The Derby winner, as expected, remained the favorite at 5-2, but in a huge surprise, Shackleford was an astounding 16-1, one of the longest shots on the board. The odds will undoubtedly fluctuate Saturday when the bulk of the money is wagered, but for now, here is a look at some of the horses that are underbet and overbet.
