It's a normal reaction in the fantasy football world to be concerned about a top wide receiver -- or an entire offense, for that matter -- when a quarterback goes down and a questionable replacement is thrust into action. In the case of the Miami Dolphins, however, I think the point needs to be made for all the Brandon Marshall owners concerned about Tyler Thigpen that things might actually get better. Was unreliable Chad Henne or spaghetti-armed Chad Pennington really much better of an option? We'll find out because it's Thigpen Time now.
Henne lost his starting role with a poor Week 9 performance in Baltimore that included three interceptions, giving him more turnovers than touchdowns on the season. Yes, I kinda liked him back in August because of Marshall's presence, but Henne quickly proved he was a disappointment. Pennington was summoned, and wouldn't you know, he lasted all of two plays Sunday. Enter Thigpen, a third-stringer in name who actually helped fantasy owners quite a bit as recently as 2008.
