We knew a week ago -- it was obvious, really -- that the Matt Leinart era was coming to an uncomfortable end in Arizona, but really nothing has changed for Anderson. He was the likely starter then, and he is the undisputed starter now. He has more security as a starter following Leinart's release this weekend, but he didn't, however, get appreciably better because Leinart was dumped (and subsequently signed by the Houston Texans). Anderson is Anderson. He'll make some good plays and some bad plays; he's still the strong-armed, often-erratic Derek Anderson. Fantasy owners shouldn't rely on him as more than a backup, and so far they aren't. But they are obviously interested.
