Jay Cutler certainly didn't expect his first season with the Chicago Bears to go quite like this, with a league-leading interception total and with him and his teammates playing the role of spoiler on "Monday Night Football" in Week 16. Fantasy football owners cooled on Cutler's value months ago, opting for safer quarterbacks, but guess which team gets to face the lowly Detroit Lions in Week 17? Oh yeah, it's Cutler and his pals, the same team that lit up the Minnesota Vikings for 36 points.
Cutler's stock is certainly rising this week, and he's going to be one of the more polarizing choices in 2010 drafts as well; some owners will not want to take the chance on his upside-limiting interceptions, while others will remember his four-touchdown performance in outdueling Brett Favre. Which do you choose? Hmm, ya know, Favre has led the league in interceptions three times, including last year. Maybe if Cutler had some better weapons, like Favre does with the Vikings, we'd see a top-10 quarterback in 2010.
