The first day of expanded rosters came and went, and there weren't a ton of interesting developments in terms of September call-ups.

The most intriguing (yet expected) call-up is Yankees catcher Jesus Montero, who likely will be given semi-regular at-bats to see if he can earn his way onto the team's playoff roster as a DH. If you've been scuffling along with short-term pickups at catcher and don't have one of the top six to eight players at the position, he could be worth a look in mixed leagues to see if he will carry over his recent Triple-A success (.909 OPS since the break) to the big leagues.
