In 2010, just four catchers (Mike Napoli, Victor Martinez, Brian McCann and John Buck) hit 20 or more homers. That lack of position depth helped make Toronto Blue Jays rookie J.P. Arencibia and his legit power an intriguing sleeper at the beginning of the 2011 season.

With 17 homers in 82 games entering Monday, Arencibia is on pace to sail right past that 20-homer mark. Let's set aside his less-than-impressive .222 batting average for a moment and focus on these rankings among qualifying catchers: Arencibia is second (to McCann) in homers, fourth in RBIs, 11th in runs and seventh in slugging percentage.
