The numbers that Arizona Diamondbacks right-hander Barry Enright has posted certainly demand our attention. The fact that he's a rookie only adds to the intrigue of his 2.73 ERA and 1.18 WHIP in his first 10 big league outings.

The 24-year-old right-hander was a second-round pick in the 2007 draft out of Pepperdine despite not overwhelming scouts with his stuff. He was seen as a relatively polished college hurler who could command the ball well. He did lead the high Class A Cal League in strikeouts in his full-season debut in 2008, but his numbers didn't really stand out when he was advanced to Double-A for 2009. As such, he repeated that level this year.
