With just a week and a half left to go in the Arizona Fall League, it's time to start doing position wrap-ups. I've seen each player in game action multiple times (some way more than I needed to form an opinion, especially among the pitchers), tons of batting practice and lots of bullpen sessions.
Thus, over the next few days, I will be providing my quick take on the notable names at each position. I'll begin with the catchers:
Key names
Buster Posey, Giants: As I mentioned earlier in the AFL, Posey is clearly fighting the effects of fatigue here after a long season. However, it still is quite likely that he'll be the Giants' Opening Day catcher next season, and he can hit for average with homer numbers in the teens right out of the gate, although his home park certainly won't help his power production.
