Florida Marlins southpaw Andrew Miller hasn't met expectations since being taken sixth overall in the 2006 draft. Granted, I thought the Detroit Tigers were guilty of rushing him to the big leagues too quickly before they sent him to Florida as part of the Miguel Cabrera/Dontrelle Willis deal, but in 70 big league appearances (47 starts), Miller has a 5.50 ERA and 1.66 WHIP. In his big league time this year, he walked almost five batters per nine innings and struck out less than seven as he struggled with locating his fastball. Miller is here to get some more work with his revamped delivery after missing some time this year, and in an encouraging sign, he looked sharp in his most recent outing.
