Last week we took a look at career performances during the Elite Series era and saw to absolutely no one's surprise that Skeet Reese and Kevin VanDam stand head and shoulders above the rest of the field. This week I want to step back from anything quite so specific and try to answer a question that is asked a lot in other sports but seldom in professional fishing.
When do pro anglers peak?
It's a much easier question to answer in other sports especially sports with lots of statistics. Baseball players tend to have their breakout seasons at about 27 and plateau from about then until 32 or 33. After that, it's typically downhill ... unless they take lots of steroids.
