As Team USA fired up 3-pointer after 3-pointer during Monday's 126-97 win over Argentina, it was clear what could hold them back in their quest for Olympic gold.
That's right: their defense.
What? You thought shooting 40 3-pointers was a bad thing? Think again. Not when your team is stacked with elite 3-point shooters.
On Monday, Kevin Durant and Chris Paul became the latest Americans to register a blistering shooting display, making 8-of-10 and 5-of-6 3-pointers respectively. In all, Team USA made 20 of their 40 shots from downtown. During the 30th Olympiad, Team USA is shooting 46.6 percent beyond the arc.
