Summer Skate: Buffalo Sabres

Another disappointing season resulted in the firing of long-tenured coach Lindy Ruff and a quasi-fire sale that saw star winger Jason Pominville dealt to Minnesota and defensemen Robyn Regehr and Jordan Leopold also sold off at the deadline.

The Sabres are now in full-fledged rebuilding mode, making only a few offseason moves and putting their hopes on a strong prospect pool.
