Player Ranks: St. Louis surges

During the season, these rankings -- which appear on Mondays in concert with the NHL Power Rankings -- are based on player production in terms of Hockey Prospectus' GVT valuation metric. If you are unfamiliar with GVT and how it works, you can find more here.

Previously, this list was of the top 10 players overall. Now it's the top 10 skaters and the top five goalies. We think this change will improve the info processing for fans, especially because goalies and skaters do very different things in the NHL game.
