During the season, these rankings -- which appear on Mondays in concert with the overall NHL Power Rankings -- are based on player production in terms of Puck Prospectus' GVT valuation metric. If you are unfamiliar with GVT and how it works, you can find more here.

One housekeeping note for this week: Next week, we'll begin adding "shootout GVT" to all players. It isn't there yet due to small sample size for some goalies and forwards, but it does affect the overall GVT ratings below.
