The Europeans are coming ... will Jagr join?
While we often focus on draft prospects in this space, with the conclusion of the IIHF World Championships, it seemed like an ideal time to evaluate a few European players from past drafts that might cross the Atlantic before the start of next season. And at the head of that potential incoming class is a very familiar name from the draft class of 1990 -- Jaromir Jagr.
Jagr has little left to prove with his illustrious hockey career. But proving to himself that he can still compete game's best league may be the reason he could return to NHL.
"Jagr has the drive to prove that he can perform and contribute at the highest level," says one Russian hockey insider. "He has been great over in KHL and would of course be very useful in the NHL too. I can't see any team in NHL who wouldn't love to have Jagr on their roster and I think he will take the leap this summer."
