Boston ponders trade scenarios

One of the most active teams on draft day might be the Boston Bruins. As Gare Joyce previously reported, the Bruins have quite a dilemma with their two picks in both round one and two.

Several teams are looking to take these selections off their hands, including the Edmonton Oilers who want two top-three picks. They apparently offered Dustin Penner and Tom Gilbert to the Boston Bruins for their first pick; the Edmonton Journal writes, "This year, Penner has emerged as a two-way ace, plus-36 in his true plus/minus number. I can see how the Bruins might well be tempted."
