WASHINGTON, D.C. -- It has been an interesting season in Washington, where the home team has been remaking itself on the fly. On Friday night, I made a house call to the Verizon Center to take an up-close look at the Capitals, who ran their winning streak to seven games with a 2-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes.
