It has been a tough few weeks for the New York Islanders. On Wednesday morning, the club received the news concerning Chris Simon. The league slapped a record 30-game ban on the wayward forward for "stomping" the foot of Penguins forward Jarkko Ruutu in third period of last Saturday's game at the Nassau Coliseum. It's the seventh time the league has suspended Simon and the second time in less than a year he has been dealt a suspension of 25 games or more.
