Morning Skate: Flying high again

What a difference a year makes. On this date last year, the Flyers dropped a 4-1 decision to the Lightning to fall to 1-5-1. They were just one more loss and a couple of days away from some major changes. GM Bob Clarke and head coach Ken Hitchcock would be gone by the end of the week. They were lucky. The rest of the Flyers had to endure a nightmare season, when nothing seemed to go right.

Fast forward to today, when the Flyers are a near-perfect 5-1 after a 4-0 shutout victory over the Devils on Thursday night. It was the second straight shutout for G Martin Biron, who has been rock solid, starting all six games. In that span, he has a 1.50 GAA and a sensational .951 save percentage to go with those two shutouts.
