Managing any pro sports team can make you a little crazy. But, in Edmonton, it clearly can drive you bonkers.
That must be the reason that Oilers GM Kevin Lowe, who made a "principled" stand against his heart-and-soul captain Ryan Smyth over $100,000 in February, decided to make a desperate $50M pitch at Sabres' restricted free agent Thomas Vanek on Friday.
