Nothing 'new' about Bruins

At his introductory news conference May 31, Bruins new-GM-in-waiting Peter Chiarelli made the following statement.

"I want to introduce a new, fresh culture to this organization. I want players to want to play here; I want players to want to stay; I want players to move their families here; I want them to be proud to have the Boston Bruins logo on their chest."

I guess Chiarelli's "new, fresh culture" didn't extend to his coaching staff. If it had, he wouldn't have left a good soldier like Mike Sullivan twisting in the wind for some three weeks. The Bruins finally got around to firing Sullivan on Tuesday.
