One of the biggest challenges Davis Payne found in his first NHL coaching job was managing all the different players and their individual issues while at the same time trying to guide an entire team. On Sunday evening, Payne found out his short tenure as head coach of the Blues was over. GM Doug Armstrong replaced him with Ken Hitchcock and again made it clear that expectations were high this season.
