With the news late last night of Shea Weber signing an offer sheet with Philadelphia, this on top of Ryan Suter leaving for Minnesota, concern about the Predators' future and how they could survive two major personnel losses is understandable. While those names are not easily replaceable, if Weber did in fact end up in Philadelphia, the current strength of the Nashville organization in terms of young players is in fact defensemen. They have several quality names waiting in the wings.
