Their 6-3 win over the Calgary Flames on Thursday night showed that the Colorado Avalanche are capable of generating offense in the absence of 2011-12 leading scorer Ryan O'Reilly. Until then, it was questionable. Colorado had scored just one goal in the three previous games.
