Overall: Hobbs played in all 11 games as a true freshman in 2001, which was his first season of playing DB after starring as a running back in high school. Hobbs became a fulltime starter in 2002 and went on to start in each of his final two seasons (2003-'04) at Iowa State. As a senior in 2004, Hobbs finished third on his team with 71 tackles. He also had five INT's and eight PBU. Hobbs was a three-time Academic All-Big 12 and also was a captain in 2004. He finished his career with 10 interceptions and 30 PBU. Hobbs is an undersized cornerback prospect that has continued to make significant strides in each of his first four seasons at the position. His marginal height, bulk and strength will always limit him in the NFL and there's a good chance that he never develops into anything more than a sub-package ...
