Three Burning Questions
Will the offensive line improve under head coach Gary Kubiak?
The offensive line situation is one of the areas that Kubiak and his staff needed to address right off the bat. They have done a solid job of accomplishing that goal. Through free agency they were able to add a solid, veteran center in Mike Flanagan. Then through the draft they were able to add Charles Spencer and Eric Winston, two players who fit the zone-blocking scheme Kubiak will install. Despite many holdovers who struggled in their former system, the line play will improve. The nature of the scheme is that you don't need great individual players. What you need are smart players, with some mobility, who can play together as a unit. Although Kubiak's presence will have a huge impact on the entire offense, it will be felt most with improved play up front .
