It seems almost impossible that a year ago at this time Ben Roethlisberger was a rookie preparing for his first NFL training camp. But after an injury to starter Tommy Maddox opened the door early in 2004, Roethlisberger took over and made one of the best runs of any rookie quarterback in NFL history.

Big, strong-armed and poised, he played with unflappable confidence for a young guy. And though he isn't exactly a scrambling quarterback, he has very good mobility in the pocket and throws well on the run.
