Welcome to the playoffs! After much sound and fury, we're finally here and there are plenty of intriguing storylines to follow. Can the Pittsburgh Steelers make a run despite their injuries? Can anyone beat the Green Bay Packers? Is there a true favorite in the AFC?

What we do at numberFire is the math; we take in the statistics, we look at what they really mean and we come up with our own internal metrics for how good teams and players really are. Once we have that, we look at each game and simulate it, using historical comparables as the starting point. This gives us what is actually a very accurate glimpse into the future.
