2011 NFL Playoffs Predictor
Dallas Cowboys are NFC's No. 4 seed, replacing Giants; Eagles are still alive
Despite all of the upsets and turmoil of Week 15, the playoff bracket remains somewhat firm. The only replacement this week comes from the maddeningly inconsistent New York Giants, whose atrocious game on Sunday allowed the suddenly dynamic Dallas Cowboys to take the No. 4 seed. Not surprisingly, the Cowboys top our gainers at a 19.8 percent increase of playoff likelihood, whereas the Giants top our sliders with a painful minus-29.3 percent.
There's still plenty of drama on the AFC side as well, with the Denver Broncos and New York Jets both losing some ground to the plucky Cincinnati Bengals and San Diego Chargers. And, of course, the Oakland Raiders threw away a golden opportunity to make a move by losing in heartbreaking fashion to the visiting Detroit Lions.
Below is a projection of who we think will be in this year's playoffs. Be sure to come back once the postseason begins, as we reset the bracket and tell you who has the best chance to bring home the Lombardi Trophy.
Please note that all rankings refer to the opponent-adjusted efficiency as calculated by numberFire, not the gross yardage.
