You can't win the Super Bowl in the offseason. And you certainly can't win in it only with the moves you make in free agency.

But, as has been proved over the years, you can drastically improve your NFL team by signing good players to smart contracts. So each week we're going to look at the immediate impact of some of the offseason's free-agent signings to see what they're bringing to their new teams. And as the season progresses, we'll start to look ahead at which players might be making (or losing) some money heading into the offseason.

This week, we'll begin by looking at Reggie Bush's big game for Detroit and Mike Wallace's disappointing debut for Miami.
