Best, worst players from Week 1
Robert Quinn among those who shined according to PFF grades
Isn't it great to have football back?
We were treated to some close games and fantastic performances in a long-awaited Week 1, and it's those sublime displays on which we're going to be focusing now.
Each week, we're going to break down some of the highest-graded performances we recorded from our team of analysts, as well as letting you in on a few of the worst. Each list will feature at least one offensive and defensive player. Here's a link to our grading methodology.
This isn't the first time Quinn has gone to work on an Arizona Cardinals tackle. This time it wasn't D'Anthony Batiste (sorry to remind you of him, Cards fans) that was given the business, it was Levi Brown, on his way to reclaiming his throne as the baddest tackle in the whole damn town. What made Quinn stand out was his pass rushing. He finished with three sacks (two of which were forced fumbles), two quarterback hits and a hurry on just 39 pass rushes. As is often his way, he offered little against the run, but this was the kind of performance you expect from a former first-rounder.
