From Peyton Manning overcoming multiple surgeries and the ravages of age to lead his team to Super Bowl contention to Adrian Peterson posting fantastic numbers after coming back from a devastating knee injury to Robert Griffin III and Andrew Luck leading a rookie quarterback class that could become the best in NFL history, the 2012 campaign has been one of unexpected occurrences.
