How will Luck fare vs. Patriots?
Luck has been great, but New England has history of stopping rookie QBs
Andrew Luck has, by all accounts, had a tremendous start to his NFL career. He is fourth in Total QBR, ahead of Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees, is second in total points created (75.5 EPA) and has led the Indianapolis Colts to a surprising 6-3 record. As two of those wins were against defenses that rank in the top 10 in points allowed (Miami Dolphins and Green Bay Packers), he has not just accomplished this performance against low-level defenses.
This has led many commentators to suggest that Luck is well beyond his years in his development as an NFL quarterback. This week, however, Luck will lead his playoff-contending Colts to Foxborough to challenge the 6-3 New England Patriots, and we will get an even better indicator on whether Luck is more of a veteran than his age suggests.
