Bears' O-line still a problem

Many teams had glaring holes entering the 2012 draft. Some filled them; others did not -- at least not enough. Here are the teams that still have questions regarding pre-draft areas of need.

Chicago Bears: Offensive line

The Bears' offensive line was horrible last year. A switch in scheme will help, as new offensive coordinator Mike Tice is far more offensive line-friendly than his predecessor, Mike Martz. Chicago also gets Gabe Carimi, last year's first-round pick, back from injury. Both of those things should help substantially, but we can't ignore that the Bears chose not to select an offensive lineman at any point of this draft. Again, Martz's scheme is brutal on the big men up front, but I can't say that any member of this line was impressive in 2011.

As it stands today, it looks like the Bears' starters on the line from left to right will be J'Marcus Webb, Chris Williams, Roberto Garza, Lance Louis and Carimi. I have pretty high hopes for the right side of the line, as I think Louis is much better suited to guard than tackle and Carimi remains a promising prospect. But I still don't see what the Bears see in Webb, who has been a massive liability.
