2012 NFL Playoffs Predictor

A very early look at how the playoffs might look in January 2013

Like "The Simpsons" or misunderstandings within relationships regarding the importance of communication, football never stops. Even though Super Bowl XLVI just ended, we're already thinking about next year and all the drama that surely awaits us.

Despite the uncertainty around Peyton Manning and the looming presence of the NFL draft, we reached into our supercomputer here at numberFire to project what next season's playoff bracket might look like, given the trajectory of the teams and their true efficiency this past season. Of course, take it with a grain of salt -- remember that, in August, everyone in the world had the Philadelphia Eagles winning the Super Bowl, and, well, we all know what happened there.

Below is the projected 2012 NFL playoff bracket. Fear not, New York fans, both your teams make it to the tournament next season.
