Shortly after he was drafted, Minnesota rookie quarterback Christian Ponder got to visit the team headquarters, grab at least an annotated version of the new Vikings playbook and then quickly head out the door and into the reality of a lockout. No practices. No film sessions with the coaching staff. No getting ahead in the way rookies traditionally have.
