After watching film of both teams, Scouts Inc. breaks down key elements of the Week 10 Broncos-Panthers matchup.
• Stay balanced on the road: The Broncos' offense stresses balance. If the Carolina defense favors playing the pass more than the run, Peyton Manning will gladly hand off the ball. Willis McGahee is having an excellent season and running with conviction. Ronnie Hillman also can be dangerous out of the backfield and brings a different skill set than McGahee. McGahee also is getting a lot of passes thrown his way and has done well with those opportunities. Play-action is a major part of Denver's offensive approach, and Manning sells it really well. Denver's running game sputtered in Cincinnati last week, accumulating just 68 yards. More will be needed this week on the road, as linebacker Luke Kuechly, who had 15 tackles last week, has stepped up in a big way in the middle of Carolina's defense.
