After watching film of both teams, Scouts Inc. breaks down key elements of the Week 5 Broncos-Patriots matchup.
• New England must stop McGahee: Denver rushed for 165 yards in its Week 4 mauling of the Raiders, with Willis McGahee averaging nearly 6 yards per carry. McGahee is running with extreme conviction and power right now, but Ronnie Hillman is also on the verge of an enhanced role. Hillman is much more elusive than McGahee and an excellent fit as a zone stretch runner while also showing skills as a receiver. The Patriots have an intriguing trio of linebackers in Brandon Spikes, Dont'a Hightower and Jerod Mayo. Hightower and especially Spikes are big downhill players who should make running inside extremely difficult this week.
