After watching film of both teams, Scouts Inc. breaks down key elements of the Week 4 49ers-Jets matchup.
• The 49ers need to keep pounding the rock: San Francisco has been excellent rushing the football. It ranks fifth in the league at 141 yards per game. Its physical offensive line is getting movement at the line of scrimmage. The Jets yield an average of 149 yards per game on the ground and were manhandled by the Dolphins in Week 3. Look for Jim Harbaugh's offensive mindset to be controlling the clock on the road with a good dose of Frank Gore between the tackles.
