After watching film of both teams, Scouts Inc. breaks down key elements of the Week 1 Redskins-Saints matchup.
• Focus on football: The Saints need to get past the distractions of last week's hurricane as well as the suspensions of their head coach, Sean Payton, and interim head coach Joe Vitt. Another jolt came Friday, when a panel overturned the punishment of the suspended players. Fortunately for the Saints, they have Drew Brees behind center. Brees is like a coach on the field in that he understands the offensive philosophy of Payton and offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael, and is actively involved in game planning. The team will likely want to come out and make a statement but needs to approach this game in a businesslike manner.
