| Why To Watch The Bills look to get back in the AFC East race as they host the Chiefs. Buffalo enters the season's second half facing an unusual dilemma -- does it continue to start QB Kelly Holcomb and fight for a playoff spot, or does it return to the long-term future of J.P. Losman. The Bills can count on a steady diet of running back Larry Johnson and Priest Holmes, assuming the latter is deemed healthy by game time, while the Chiefs can count on a heavy dose of RB Willis McGahee. Both teams will attack on the ground to set up the play-action pass. The Bills will continue to rely on McGahee to shorten the game and control the time of possession. Also, look for the Bills to attack through the air against a shaky Chiefs secondary. For the Chiefs, defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham will commit to stopping the run and forcing Holcomb to attack through the air against a lot of multiple complex blitzes and overload zone fires. With QB Trent Green picking his spots to throw passes to TE Tony Gonzalez and WR Eddie Kennison, offensive coordinator Al Saunders must commit to the run against a Bills secondary that is giving up only 156.9 yards per game.
Special team's coverage units will be critical in the outcome of this game as both teams feature two explosive returners in the Bills' Terrence McGee and the Chiefs' Dante Hall.
