Defense figures to be dominating

The Jaguars are counting on a stingy defense and dynamic special teams to end their five-year playoff drought this season.

After falling one game short of the playoffs last year with a 9-7 record, Jacksonville believes the addition of DLE Reggie Hayward to a defense led by DTs Marcus Stroud and John Henderson will put the team over the top. They also expect the special teams under coordinator Pete Rodriguez to be among the best in the league.
